ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: The longevity of vaccine effectiveness and antibody titer after the Moderna mRNA COVID-19 vaccination booster in healthcare workers in Indonesia is not known. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We performed a prospective observational study of healthcare workers at the Universitas Indonesia Hospital after Moderna mRNA COVID-19 booster vaccination. An Immunology Analyzer with Chemiluminescence Immunoassay (CLIA) test was used to examine Anti SARS-CoV-2 S-RBD levels. Antibody levels were classified into two systems (3 categories, and 2 categories). RESULTS: There were 31 male subjects (75.6%), 33 subjects (80.5%) aged 25-39 years, 17 subjects (41.5%) with overweight BMI, 35 subjects (85.4%) without comorbidities, and 29 subjects without previous history of COVID-19 infection (70.7%) who had antibody titer >1000 AU/ml. There were 27 subjects (65.9%) who had a booster shot ≥6 months after the second vaccination with antibody titer >1000 AU/ml. In this study, there was no significant correlation between antibody titer with factors such as gender, age, BMI, comorbidities, history of COVID-19 infection and time between the 2nd vaccination and booster vaccination. CONCLUSION: There is no significant correlation between antibody titer with factors such as gender, age, BMI, comorbidities, history of COVID-19 infection and time between the 2nd vaccination and booster vaccination.

ABSTRACT

When the outbreak of the COVID-19 delta variant occurred in June 2021, there was a marked increase in Indonesia's number of self-isolated patients. The Universitas Indonesia Hospital provided a One-Stop Service (OSS) to monitor COVID-19 patients on self-isolation. This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the self-isolation monitoring performed by hospitals and the factors that determined the outcomes of patients on self-isolation. This study was conducted using a cross-sectional method based on secondary data from electronic medical records. Data analysis was performed by determining the relationship of patient risk factors and characteristics with COVID-19 outcomes. The study found that poorer symptoms, administration of antibiotics, absence of shortness of breath, and normal ALT levels significantly improved the outcome of OSS patients. The study also suggested that during monitoring of patients on COVID-19 self-isolation, chest/thorax radiography is necessary. The self-isolation monitoring program is essential to observe the patient's condition and evaluate the possibility of deteriorating conditions that could lead to admission decisions in the early or middle stages of the program. This will be beneficial during pandemic emergencies.

ABSTRACT

This study discusses the dynamics of social role done by Islamic boarding schools or pesantren in response to the COVID-19 in Madura. There are two main research questions in this article;how do people respond to the COVID-19 pandemic in Madura? What are the dynamics of Islamic boarding schools in Madura in response to the COVID-19? By using the qualitative research this study found two major findings;first the response of pesantren to COVID-19 in Madura is quite diverse. This is due to the religious paradigm of pesantren in Madura some of them are conservative while some others are non-conservative. The conservative-based Islamic boarding schools are more reserved, and they tend to counter the existence of COVID-19 by not fully following the directions of the health protocol recommended by the government. While some others the non-conservative ones prefer to be open to all policies taken by the government as an effort to prevent and combat COVID-19;second although the response of Islamic boarding schools in Madura to COVID-19 tends to vary their attitude is generally responsive when it comes to preventing the spread of the virus. They carry out this responsive attitude in the form of two approaches;structural-medical approach such as the implementation of social-physical distancing and cultural-religious approach such as issuing religious edicts which contain theological explanations of the necessity to follow health protocols. They also provide procedures in carrying out religious rituals in emergency situations during pandemic.

ABSTRACT

The Coronavirus pandemic with Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in a number of areas has forced people to adapt quickly, including in work. The Flexible Work Space (FWS) concept is now widely used to maintain optimal productivity amidst various restrictions. FWS is closely related to the demographic bonus, millennial generation, and generation Z on the supply side, and industrial 4.0 on the demand side of the labor market. Millennial and Gen-Z in some theoretical and empirical literature are known as the generation of digital natives, technology users, who are higher team-oriented. The COVID-19 pandemic has made the discourse on flexible working space, which has previously been discussed a lot, needs to be followed up more seriously by the government and also business owners.

ABSTRACT

COVID-19 pandemic which occurred in early 2020 has resulted in more than 50 percent of households experiencing financial difficulties, especially those who rely on personal businesses. This study aims to analyze the effect of working mothers on family economic resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study obtained the primary data by distributing questionnaires to 173 respondents using the purposive sampling technique. The approach used is quantitative with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) as the data analysis method. The dependent variable is family economic resilience, and the independent variable is female workers. The results showed that working women could support and contribute to their households in helping meet the daily needs of their families. Thus, working mothers have a positive effect on household economic resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. For this reason, during the COVID-19 period a wife's role is needed to contribute to the family economy so that the family's economic resilience remains stable. Furthermore, this research revealed the importance of the government's roles and stakeholders to provide facilities such as working capital for women, availability of employment opportunities for women and work regulations that support women in balancing their dual roles.
